Self Versus Self: My Unpublished Project

August 29, 2018

Last spring I was quite busy with a project which I didn’t specify. Among other articles, those days I wrote about poetry and ambition. Well, I can now reveal that these two combined to make the Self Versus Self project.

Self Versus Self is the name I’ve given to this latest literary work of mine. It consists of two volumes, one narrative poem (Self Versus) and one novel (Versus Self). Both works essentially narrate the same plot and can be read independently. However, they have been written as complementary to each other.

Liam’s Walls (a Short Story)

April 21, 2018

I wrote the following short story in the span of two hours, one autumn afternoon. It was inspired by some news I’d received that had affected me. As I’ve said in the past, the birth of a text comes not from wanting to write, but from needing to write. Needless to say, the story is highly symbolic – hey, Kafka has been one of my influences, what do you expect?

The Other Side of Dreams (New Literary Fiction Novel)

March 19, 2018

OK, picture this: you’ve just won the lottery. Imagine the feeling of unreality pervading you, the surreal knowledge that your wildest dreams are becoming true. Now, what if I told you that no fate is worse than seeing your dreams come true? Welcome to The Other Side of Dreams, my newest literary fiction novel.

The Other Side of Dreams is a book following my tradition of literary fiction novels that focus on the individual. If you take a look at my Goodreads profile, you will see that my work revolves around the themes of the repressed past, the impossibility of choices, flawed men and determined women. That was the blueprint for To Cross an Ocean: Apognosis and it is for The Other Side of Dreams as well. Furthermore, although this newest novel can be read completely independently from Apognosis, the reader will encounter some familiar faces and settings.
